Chokecherry Jelly

This year we have lots of chokecherries at the cabin. I'm not sure why, but the previous 2 summers the chokecherry bushes didn't produce any fruit. Pippy helped pick tons of them with me.
Brynn helped by mixing the berries. (A very important job.)
Brynn...still mixing. I told you it was important!
Washing and picking off the streams- which takes forever!
Pippy has been wearing these funky pink glasses lately.
Cooked and put into containers.

  1. I love Pippy's pink sparkly glasses! Have you read Lily and her Purple Plastic Purse? (Sorry I am in the midst of librarian courses, so I think in kids books.) It is about a little mouse with sparkly glasses. And a purple plastic purse of course.

Brynn is adorable as the official stirrer and mixer.

And your jelly is beauteous! All pink and smooth!
