Sunday Picnic

Yesterday was another beautiful day, so we snuck up to the campground at the foot of the mountains for a picnic. We are so spoiled, it is about 3 miles from our front door. It is actually a campground and shooting range owned and maintained by our homeowners association. It still amazes us how many people live here and have never taken advantage of this amenity! Anyway, it was very relaxing. We took the grill and actually had an easy, healthy and delicious meal. I had some individually wrapped salmon filets, which Wayne grilled. Then I just brought a half-eaten container of salad greens. The kind in a plastic disposable container. So we just added the salmon and some dressing and ate out of the salad container. No dishes! Anyway, it was delicious, but maybe that's just because my husband is an expert griller!

Wayne and Penelope using the super-nice hiking backpack that Jason & Colleen gave us - it works great!
Penelope was sleeping in the shade
 Then she woke up...
The lines on our car are called Nevada Pinstripes.....you only have the privilege of getting them if you are a local.
 Penelope and her favorite guy
Sunday Penelope hit another milestone, pulled herself up to standing for the first time by the table!
She didn't pull herself up here, but she is showing off her standing skills.

  1. my mouth is watering for that grilled salmon Wayne grilled for us when we were there!! I can't remember all the delicious seasoning you put in it but it was the best salmon I ever tasted! Penelope is going to be walking soon, she seems to love standing now, and I bet she gets a few head bonks as she is getting so tall!
