Chokecherry Jelly

This year we have lots of chokecherries at the cabin. I'm not sure why, but the previous 2 summers the chokecherry bushes didn't produce any fruit. Pippy helped pick tons of them with me.
Brynn helped by mixing the berries. (A very important job.)
Brynn...still mixing. I told you it was important!
Washing and picking off the streams- which takes forever!
Pippy has been wearing these funky pink glasses lately.
Cooked and put into containers.

Slippery Chicken

Very, VERY infrequently, my children aren't perfect angels. One day chicken was what Pippy wanted for lunch. When I gave it to her, she went hysterical. It took a while to even calm her enough to understand what she was saying.

Pippy: "Slippery Chicken!!!"

Me: "We don't have any Slippery Chicken."

Pippy: " But I want Slippery Chicken!!!!!!"

I finally figured out that Slippery Chicken is a grilled chicken leg. So when we have bone-in chicken for dinner, we all get excited and say we're having slippery chicken for dinner.

Brynn's Birthday at the Zoo

Train Ride
Boden is either trying to strangle Pippy or telling her a secret.

Brynn and Malia

Trying to get 10 kids their cupcakes all at once.

Brynn did NOT want to be an eaglet.

Riding the carousel

Brynn gets super excited anytime there is something resembling a mud puddle.

After 3 hours of zoo, Pip hit her face and got a bloody nose. Then I let them play in the fountain area, where they both got soaked and their mom was mean enough to refuse them a large pretzel. Then they were both piled into a one-kid sized stroller and screamed while I pushed UPHILL to the exit. (Totally a marketing strategy)
I'm gonna miss this someday.
